Hello & Welcome!

    A Little About us...

The Talent behind It's Your Day...

Christina M. Somoff & Ashley N. Milke

Here at It's Your Day, we love meeting new couples and clients and getting to know them and get excited as the ideas start immediately flowing! We are willing to work with any budget and strive to make your day the most memorable day of your life.

Christina was recently engaged on December 22nd, 2009! Ashley, as her MOH and as her planner and our new intern Hannah are very excited to help plan her Summer 2011 wedding!

Christina specializes in perfecting custom design expressions from a box set as a gift to a friend or an entire wedding ensemble designed especially for you! “Expressions can say so many things! Especially if what you are trying to say is important,” she says.

She got her first notion in college when she would sell her jewelry and handmade expressions at the school fair. After she graduated from college and obtained a career, she found herself  wanting to still satisfy her artistic niche. She got back in to the expression scene, making gift sets for friends of friends, and weddings upon request, and so on. This also led to her partnership with Ashley, where she helps out with the design elements and creative flair in planning of events.

Christina is based in her expression studio in her home in Kirkland; she has lived in Washington State all her life and gathers beautiful inspiration from this wonderful state. She uses recycled and recyclable material and non toxic glues and adhesives.

Ashley started planning parties among her friends as a teen and then became a Publicity Director for DECA in high school and helped planned events like the Giving Tree.

In college, she joined the Communication Club and became the event coordinator putting on several events per quarter such as food drives and Valentine Making fundraisers.

In her last quarter, she did an internship for the Downtown Renaissance Network, to put on the Summer Alley Concert Series and helped coordinate the first annual Bite of Bellingham.  At Western Washington University, she earned her BA in Communication.  Ashley plans to continue her education and skills to be a better wedding consultant by becoming a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants soon.

Ashley and Christina are not only partners, but best friends and work together well. They would love the opportunity to plan your special day. Please see the contact page for more information.
